Monday. 6:14am. The week is a machine already running.

You will not review last week. You will react to this one.

That is not efficiency. That is the shape of a hurried life.

CHEW with Me

C — Clarity — The problem is not the plan

Monday morning, your week is already moving. You are jumping into this week without stopping to look at last week.

That is the problem. You cannot see where you are going if you never look at where you have been.

Moses asked God to teach him how to count his days. He knew days are a gift, not a supply that never runs out. If you never sit down to count last week, you will spend this week the same way — fast, hurried, and without wisdom.

H — Hear — Teach us to number our days

This is not a verse to make you plan better. It is a Father teaching you that wisdom comes when you slow down enough for Him to number your days with you. Stay with what He says: “teach us,” “number our days,” “heart of wisdom.” The wisdom is not in the schedule. It is in the sitting down.

“So teach us to number our days.” Moses is not asking for a calendar. He is asking to be taught to see time the way God does — a fixed gift, not an infinite resource.

“That we may get a heart of wisdom.” The wisdom is not the count. It is the heart the count produces. Not smarter. Softer. Steadier. Slower to spend, quicker to notice.

The numbering happens when you stop long enough to be taught. Nobody learns to number their days on the move.

Today’s verse to hear:

“So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.” (Psalm 90:12)

“Wisdom comes to the unhurried.”

E — Exchange — The count is different with Him

The five-minute weekly review is not a productivity ritual. It is a place to be taught. You sit down. You ask God what last week was. You listen for what He would have you carry into this one.

You will discover something quickly: what you thought were unproductive days often bore the most. What you thought were peak weeks often left the least. The count is different when He is teaching it.

Because God’s love is the kind that stops to teach you how to see your own days, how does that change the way you start this Monday — the pace, the pressure, the plan you were about to run on?

Sit with that. Sixty seconds.

W — Walk — Sit down before you start

This morning, before you open the inbox, take five minutes with a notebook. Ask God one thing: “Father, teach me to number last week. What did You do? What did I miss? What are You carrying into this week?” Write what comes.

Then start Monday. Not from what you owe. From what you were taught.

With you on the journey,
Ryan

What if Monday’s wisdom does not come from your plan for the week but from your willingness to sit down and count last week first?
