The Daily CHEW™
Moving God’s Love from Head to Heart for Christian Professionals
You are standing near the glass, notes in hand, ten minutes before the room fills. Your preparation is thorough. Your content is strong. And this Monday, instead of letting the week’s first high-stakes moment define your posture, you are doing something most leaders never think to do: you are naming what you feel — one honest word — and resting in a verdict God declared over you before your calendar existed. Saturday’s emotional pulse practice taught you that skill: name it, bring it to God, move forward grounded. That single act of self-awareness is not a detour from leadership — it is the mark of a leader whose confidence is rooted in what God has already spoken over her life. When God’s love secures your identity before anyone else walks in, you stop performing for approval and start leading from what He has already declared.
Clarity
Where is my sense of confidence coming from this morning — the outcome I am hoping for, or the identity God has already declared over me? Use your feelings chart and take a one-word emotional pulse before you walk in.
Hear
**”Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life”** (Proverbs 4:23, ESV). God does not ask you to guard your calendar first — He asks you to guard your heart. Scripture reveals that what flows from you in that meeting — your words, your steadiness, your presence — begins with what God is doing inside you right now. God reshapes your Monday mornings as that truth moves from head to heart.
Exchange
If I really believed God’s love is unwavering enough to have already settled my identity before the room fills, how would that change the way I carry myself in this week’s first high-stakes conversation?
Walk (30–90 seconds)
Before your next meeting today, pause for 60 seconds. Take a one-word emotional pulse — name what you are feeling right now. Then pray: Father, You see what is ahead of me. You have already spoken over my life. My worth is not on the table in this room. I am Yours. Walk in. If this is the only thing I do from this CHEW today, it is enough.
With you on the journey,
Ryan
If you had to put this into one sentence for today, what would you say God is inviting you to rest in or return to?
