The Daily CHEW™
Moving God’s Love from Head to Heart for Christian Professionals

You already know the headline from Sunday’s CHEW: in Christ, God removes sin “as far as the east is from the west.” But think about what that means for an ordinary Friday. Every sin in your past, present, and future was fully seen, accounted for, and paid for at the cross before you ever thought to commit it. There is never a morning where Jesus has to reconsider whether His sacrifice still covers you. Any sense of distance you feel after you stumble is on your side, not His. If you really believed that, gratitude would rise faster than self‑reproach, and returning to God after you fall would become a reflex, not a long delay. That is the nuance underneath Sunday’s “God’s Forgiving Love That Casts Sin Far Away.”

Confess
Father, You see how easily I can act as if some sins are still on Your desk, waiting to be processed, instead of resting in what Christ has already finished. I acknowledge that I want my heart to respond with gratitude and quick return, not hesitation and quiet self‑punishment.

Hear
“as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)
Your Word reveals that in Christ You have removed my sin to a distance I can never close again.

Exchange
If I really believed that God loved me so much that He removed my sins as far as the east is from the west, how would I live today?

Walk (30–90 seconds)
Take 30–60 seconds right now and quietly thank You for three specific sins or patterns that Jesus has already carried away, naming them before You as “paid for and removed.” Then pray, “Father, thank You that there is no barrier between us because of Christ. When I stumble today, help me return to You quickly instead of lingering at a distance.”

If this is the only thing I do from this CHEW today, it is enough.

With you on the journey,
Ryan
