The Daily CHEW™
Moving God’s Love from Head to Heart for Christian Professionals

You carry a lot of good in your heart already. You care about honoring Christ in the way you lead, how you show up at home, and how you steward the body and mind He has given you. But when the week fills up, all those “goods” compete for space, and it becomes easy to move through days without one clear area where you’re intentionally growing with Him.

Instead of trying to upgrade everything at once, there is strength in naming one concrete good you and God are focusing on this week — one place where His love is already nudging you toward deeper alignment. That kind of clarity serves your calling, your relationships, and your worship.

Confess
Father, I move through my days with many good intentions, and I often try to grow in too many directions at once. I want my life to reflect Your priorities more clearly, but my attention gets scattered, and by the end of the week I am not sure where I have actually grown with You.

Hear
“for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13, ESV). God is not simply observing your goals from a distance; He is at work in your want‑to and in your follow‑through. His love frees you from needing a dozen goals at once and invites you to steward one concrete good with Him.

Exchange
If I really believed God’s love is wisely at work in my will — shaping both my desires and my actions for His good pleasure — how would that change the way I choose one area of growth for this week?
Sample: “If I believed Your wise love is at work in my will, I would release the pressure to improve everything at once and choose one specific good to grow toward with You, trusting that focused obedience is faithfulness, not failure.”

Walk (30–90 seconds)
Today, I will write one sentence that starts, “This week, by God’s grace, I am growing in __________,” and place it where I’ll see it before my next meeting. If this is the only thing I do from this CHEW today, it is enough.

With you on the journey,
Ryan

If you had to put this into one sentence for today, what would you say God is inviting you to rest in or return to?
