The Daily CHEW™
Moving God’s Love from Head to Heart for Christian Professionals
Jenna is committed. She serves, studies, and even leads—but deep down, she wonders what it means to “love God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength” (Mark 12:30). Intensity fades, priorities slip, and lesser loves creep in. Is this command just impossible idealism, or is there a real way for ordinary people to grow into wholehearted love for God?
Gospel Insight: Wholehearted Love Flows from Repeated, Real Encounters with God’s Relentless Love
Loving God with everything is less about mustering passion and more about daily returning—again and again—to marvel at the fullness, faithfulness, and beauty of who He is. Love grows as it beholds its source: “We love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19). That means—not willpower, but returning to the Gospel, savoring God’s steadfast love in Christ, and asking the Spirit to grow our affections over time. Don’t settle for a one-time moment; be relentless in coming back to His truth, His presence, His story. For a practical vision, see your Relentless Pursuit blog.
Let’s CHEW on this now.
CHEW On This™ in 3–5 Minutes
Confess (C) to God:
Father, here’s what’s true: My love for You feels distracted and divided. I want to love You with all that I am, yet my heart chases other things. I admit my limits and my need for You to change me.
Hear (H) from God in Scripture:
“Father, what Scripture do You want me to wrestle with?”
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30)
What is true about You or Your love in this?
You invite me into a relationship where Your powerful love includes and transforms every part of me—heart, mind, body, and soul.
Exchange (E):
If I really believed God loves me with the fullness that He commands from me, what would change about how I relate, what I pursue, and where I direct my energy today?
Today, I offer every fragmented part of me, asking You to grow and unite my heart to increasingly love You in response to Your unending love.
Walk (W) with the Holy Spirit:
Holy Spirit, show me a specific way to redirect my attention, energy, or decision today toward loving You above all else.
Build the practice of coming back—at every transition, in every pressure, before every decision.
Worship Invitation
Worship is not a perfect offering, but a persistent, repeated returning—realigning what you treasure, notice, and pursue. You do not love God perfectly in a moment, but you move toward Him with everything you have, each time you return anew.
