Moving God’s Love from Head to Heart for Christian Professionals
You know this moment: you carry expertise others do not, and you are about to guide people through decisions that will shape years of their lives. You could focus on you, but when you remember that God loves you as much as He loves Jesus (John 17:23), you are freed to serve, love, and use all your skill for the good of those you serve.
Confess
Father, You see how easily I can measure important meetings by how I appear instead of how well I serve. I acknowledge that I want my strongest skills aimed at the real good of the people in front of me.
Hear
“We love because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)
Your Word reveals that any love I show in these rooms is a response to the love You have already shown me in Christ. Because Your love is settled, I am free to focus on their good.
Exchange
If I really believed God’s love is wise and generous toward me in Christ, how would that change how I use my strongest skills to serve the people in front of me today?
Walk (30–90 seconds)
Before your next key meeting, take 30–60 seconds to pray silently: “Father, thank You that I am already loved in Christ. Help me ask one clarifying question about what matters most to them, and use my expertise to serve their long‑term good.” Then, in the meeting, actually ask that clarifying question and let it shape how you guide the conversation.
If this is the only thing I do from this CHEW today, it is enough.
With you on the journey,
Ryan
If you had to put this into one sentence for today, what would you say God is inviting you to rest in or return to?
