The Daily CHEW™
Chew on God’s Love. Live Transformed. Multiply Hope.
We live in a world that measures worth by milestones—job titles, awards, the size of your bank account, the reach of your influence. For years, I chased these benchmarks, telling myself that if I could just accomplish enough, I’d finally feel secure, significant, and satisfied. But the truth is, every accomplishment faded quickly under the pressure of the next goal. It wasn’t until I began anchoring my worth in God’s unchanging love that I found a peace no achievement could match.
What Builds Through CHEW
When you return daily to God’s love, your value stops hinging on what you produce. Achievement shifts from being the foundation of your identity to simply being one way you steward your gifts. Rooted here, you can work hard without carrying the crushing weight of proving yourself. Freedom comes when your worth is anchored in the unshakeable truth of who you are in Christ.
Confess
Where have you recently tied your sense of worth to what you’ve achieved—or failed to achieve? Name the moments you’ve felt “less than” when your work didn’t measure up or when someone else outpaced you. Bring these places to God, who calls you beloved before you ever lift a finger.
Hear
God’s voice cuts through the performance pressure:
“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.” (Isaiah 49:16a)
Before you accomplish, He chooses you. Before you produce, He delights in you. His love names you valuable, secure, and cherished—always.
Exchange
If I truly believed God’s love for me is unchanging and unconditional, how would it change the way I pursue goals, handle failure, or compare myself to others?
Example: I could approach my work with joy and excellence, but without fear that my value rises or falls with the outcome.
Walk
This week, as you face a performance review, a test, or even a simple to-do list, pause. Whisper: “Loved, already enough.” Let your work flow from security, not for security.
CHEW On This™
Set aside five minutes today to reflect: If I really believed God’s love defines my worth more than any accomplishment, how would that change my focus, effort, or peace in this moment? Write it down. Then thank God that you are treasured, apart from achievement.
Unique Gospel Perspective: Worth That Cannot Be Measured
The world ties identity to performance—but the Gospel turns that equation upside down. In Christ, your worth is sealed before you succeed, and your mistakes cannot diminish it. Work becomes an overflow of gratitude, not a desperate bid for approval.
Celebration
Every time you choose to rest your identity in God’s love instead of accomplishments, you’re building a foundation that storms cannot shake. That’s progress worth celebrating.
Gratitude & Prayer
Father, thank You that my worth is secure in You—unearned, unchanging, complete. Anchor me in this truth so deeply that no success or failure can move me.
Today I thank You for: ___________ (name one way God reminded you of your worth apart from achievement).
