The Insight God Already Gave You — and the One He Is Already Working Into You

Moving God’s Love From Head to Heart for Christian Professionals

Clarity

This was my week of seeing what God has been doing all along. Months ago He named an entrenched pattern in me as sin, and in that same hour began the slow, sure work of unmaking it. The smaller plate, the quieter pace, the loosened grip — all of it is His doing, not a project I am managing for Him. I have hunted for a more sophisticated framework when His plain one is already moving.

Dan Allender, in Leading with a Limp, says the leader’s curriculum is the integration of what God has already exposed. Allender is right about the curriculum. But the Teacher is the One who finishes the lesson. I am not the integrator of God’s work; I am the field He is finishing.

Hear — How God’s Love Reshapes This

The mercy I had been missing: God is not stationed at the end of an insight while I close the gap. He is the One closing it. Philippians 1:6 says, “He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Not “will offer to complete.” Will complete. The God who named the sin is the same God killing it, on His own timeline, by His own kindness. My obedience is not the engine of His work; it is the fruit of it.

Exchange

If I really believed God’s love is the love that finishes in me what He alone began — authoring every step of the integration before it ever asks anything of me — how would that change what I am feeling, and what I am believing about God, myself, and others?

Walk (Outward Benediction)

May the Lord who began the good work in you press it through to completion in His own time and by His own hand. May He spare you the exhausting search for a better idea than the one He is already working into you. And may His love be the rest you walk in today — not the result you are still trying to produce for Him.

With you on the journey,
Ryan

How would today look different if you received it as a day God is finishing His work in you — not a day you are finishing it for Him?
