Moving God’s Love From Head to Heart for Christian Professionals
What’s Really Going On Here
High performers default to a single question: how do I get better at this? The deeper question Scripture asks first is: is this the work He has actually given me?
Mastery without that prior question becomes a craftsman polishing the wrong tool for the wrong room. The skill sharpens, and the leader builds an excellent version of a life that was never his to build.
How God’s Love Reshapes This
Scripture teaches that God hands out gifts — different to each, on purpose. The body has many parts, each given its own work. The skill that is yours is the one God assigned, not the one the loudest voice on LinkedIn says is the future. When the Father’s love secures the craftsman, mastery stops being a campaign for significance.
Exchange
If I really believed God’s love is the love that already assigned me my exact gifts on purpose — how would that change what I am feeling about the skill I am chasing, and what I am believing about God, myself, and the room I am trying to impress?
Mastery follows calling. Calling does not follow mastery.
Walk
Take the skill you have been grinding. Sit with it ten minutes. Ask three questions:
- Who am I trying to become by mastering this?
- Is that person someone God has called me to be — or someone I am chasing?
- What is the skill underneath this skill that God is building in me?
This is where God moves His love from head to heart — by interrupting the chase. If this is the only thing I do from this CHEW today, it is enough.
With you on the journey,
Ryan
