The Daily CHEW™
Chew on God’s love. Live transformed. Multiply hope.
Last week, I felt my heart spinning with anxiety over a difficult conversation. I knew the right beliefs but couldn’t seem to calm my nerves, no matter how hard I tried. In that moment, I returned to His presence honestly, reflected on His unique and relentless love, and watched Him change my posture from fear to peace.
What Builds Through CHEW
Returning daily to God’s love roots my life in His action and faithfulness, not my striving. CHEW is a practical rhythm for responding to what God has already done—His love shapes resilience, deepens trust, and begins new patterns of living. True transformation is anchored in God’s initiative, reaching the places in me that need the most healing and hope.
What is CHEW?
CHEW stands for Confess, Hear, Exchange, Walk—a simple rhythm designed to re-engage with God’s love as the foundation for real change:
- Confess: Name what’s happening in your heart, whether pain, temptation, joy, or confusion. We don’t hide or fix—but bring everything before God.
- Hear: Pay attention to what God declares in His Word about who He is and what He has accomplished for us in Christ.
- Exchange: CHEW question: If I really believed God’s love is [characteristic, intensity, or biblical image], how would that change [my struggle, longing, area for healing, growth, or clarity]? Here, I release old fears and stories, asking God to make His promises my new foundation.
- Walk: Take the next step under God’s loving authority—rest in His security and respond from the strength He gives.
CHEW isn’t a technique to change ourselves; it’s a pattern for engaging with the ongoing work God is already performing within us.

How God’s Love Shapes Us Through CHEW
Each time I walk through CHEW, I’m brought back to the reality that change starts and grows from God’s initiative. Through every step, God’s love reshapes my reactions, realigns my perspective, and gives me courage and joy. Growth, resilience, and new patterns don’t come from my ability—they come from God’s committed work and steadfast love being applied to my exact need.
- Stuck or hurting? God brings healing in Deep Dive CHEW—I entrust wounds to Him and remember His promises.
- Facing decisions? God’s wisdom comes through Clarity CHEW—His character guides me into clarity.
- Overwhelmed or grateful? In-the-Moment CHEW recalibrates with God’s steady grace, securing my identity in what He has done.
- Need a quick heart-check? In Core CHEW, God’s love—unmatched and unchanging—directs my next attitude or action.
- Begin/end your day? Daily Reflection CHEW anchors the day in God’s faithfulness, never my self-effort.
Example
“I felt powerless to mend a broken friendship. During CHEW, I confessed my grief, heard God’s promise of steadfast love, and asked: If I really believed God’s love is enduring and present in reconciliation, how would that change my reluctance to reach out? With that assurance, God gave me the courage to initiate a conversation marked by grace.”
Unique Gospel Perspective: Renewal That Truly Lasts
The surprising hope of CHEW is that real change is always God’s work—He moves first, He holds us fast, and He finishes what He starts. Rather than measuring progress by our performance, we rest in His unearned love. Even the smallest return, prayer, confession, or act of faith is evidence of God drawing us deeper into His story—a story that always makes space for restoration and joy.
Celebration
Every step back towards God’s love, no matter how small or weak, is genuine progress—because the presence and action of God makes even our simple returns valuable and lasting.
