Chew on God’s Love. Live Transformed. Multiply Hope.
What Builds Through CHEW:
With every honest return to God’s love, your roots deepen in a security that’s not based on performance. Over time, old pressures unravel and your sense of belonging grows, shaped by the affection of the Father.
Confess
Where in the last 24 hours have you felt disappointment—toward yourself, someone else, or your circumstances? Name it honestly, without editing, in the presence of the Father whose care runs through your whole story.
Hear
God’s love for me as His child isn’t waiting on my initiative. Before I wanted Him, before I could respond, He acted—completely, in Christ. His affection doesn’t hover, waiting for my improvement; it meets me in doubts, regrets, and what I’d rather hide. As His child, I’m not loved for potential or hindered by weakness; I am known, held, and delighted in with unwavering commitment.
Exchange
If I really believed God’s love for me is initiating and unwavering, how would that change how I view the one place in the last day where I felt most exposed or not enough?
Example:
“If I really believed God’s love for me is initiating and unwavering, I’d loosen my grip on self-criticism after yesterday’s mistake with my friend. Instead of replaying failure, I’d remember I’m already claimed, and let kindness in—toward myself and that friend.”
Walk
At a moment when you’re likely to get distracted—midday or as you shift tasks—pause. Breathe. Whisper: “Known. Claimed. Loved by my Father.”
CHEW On This™: As you pause, recall the Exchange question above. Let it linger: “What shifts in me, even a little, if God’s initiating love is sure here?” Let this be your practice: as God meets you, look for one small, real-world way to express that love—a word, an action, a moment of patience.
Why We CHEW
CHEWing isn’t about moving closer to God by our own effort—He’s always the primary actor. Our practice is a faithful response to the reality that God’s love initiates, sustains, and transforms. The steady work of His Spirit invites us to return honestly and repeatedly, shaping a life where His love defines our story more than any struggle.
Real Life Story
A counselor finished a tough day convinced she hadn’t helped her client enough. The “not enough” script played on repeat. Yet, in that honest space with God, came the reminder: her place as beloved wasn’t in question. Not an employee on review—a daughter welcomed. The pressure lifted; gentleness replaced striving.
Celebration
Showing up honestly—naming the real places of need—is the start of deeper roots. Even small steps matter. Welcome to the journey.
Gratitude & Prayer
Father, thank You for loving with unwavering commitment. You see what I hide—nothing skipped, nothing ignored. Shape today by this certainty: I am Yours.
Today I notice and give thanks for: ___________ (write, whisper, or say it—every detail is welcomed by You).
