The Daily CHEW™
Chew on God’s Love. Live Transformed. Multiply Hope.

I remember writing business and marketing plans late into the night in my NYU dorm—sometimes at a cramped desk, sometimes wandering to the library to find a quiet corner. That sense of always needing to stay ahead, to prove myself, never seemed to take a night off. Years later, Atlanta traffic, buzzing notifications, and family waiting at home—different place, same old urgency humming under the surface. Maybe your setting looks different, but the longing is universal: Where, in a world that rewards constant motion and output, can we put down roots that aren’t ripped up by the next demand?

What Builds Through CHEW:
Making space each day to return to God’s love anchors your heart deeper than accomplishment, praise, or progress. Gradually, this steadying rhythm cultivates a different kind of resilience—not from white-knuckled striving, but from sinking your roots into a love that simply cannot be shaken.

Confess
Where, in the last 24 hours, did you find yourself driven by pressure—chasing deadlines, racing expectations, or measuring your worth by what you crossed off? Pause and name that place honestly. Bring it to the Father whose affection never pivots on your productivity.

Hear
God’s love for me as His child is the only true foundation when the urge to prove or perform takes over. My Heavenly Father is not keeping a ledger of my accomplishments; instead, He delights to steady restless hearts and stop the endless striving for approval. While the world shouts, “more, faster, better,” God’s Word quietly reminds us: “He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul” (Psalm 23:2–3). Your security flows from His committed love, not your hustle. On your best or messiest day, you are anchored—seen, loved, and held fast.

Exchange
If I really believed God’s love for me is steady and secure—never earned, never revoked—how would that reshape how I respond when pressure or the urge to achieve builds?

Example:
“If I really believed God’s love for me is steady and secure, I’d exhale when the day runs late or plans go sideways. Rather than frantically chasing another win, I’d rest, remembering my anchor hasn’t budged; and I’d let kindness, not anxiety, guide my next step.”

Walk
This week, as busyness or expectations press in—after a tense conversation or as your task list multiplies—pause. Breathe. Whisper: “Anchored. Held. Safe in my Father.”
CHEW On This™: In the pressure, act on the truth you’re anchored. Try ending your day with two minutes of silence, saying no to one extra demand, or stepping outside for a moment to notice the world holding steady. Each small act declares, “I am secure already.”

Unique Gospel Perspective: Stability From the Unchanging One
The world defines security as something you must produce and protect. But the Gospel surprises: God Himself is our anchor when we cannot keep ourselves safe, productive, or in control. In Christ, our worth is secured—not through endless effort but by the unwavering love of a Father who never shifts or withholds. Our roots don’t depend on circumstance or status. Stability grows as we respond to the One who holds us, not as we grip harder or run faster.

Celebration
Every pause, every act of trusting God’s anchoring love instead of your own urgency, is real progress. From naming the pressure to closing the laptop a bit earlier, each small step roots you deeper where true stability starts.

Gratitude & Prayer
Father, thank You for being my anchor when the world’s pace tempts me to run. Remind me today my worth is secure in You. Teach me to rest—even when unfinished—in Your committed love.
Today I thank You for: ___________ (let even a small glimpse of stability or kindness arise).
