The Daily CHEW™

Chew on God’s Love. Live Transformed. Multiply Hope.

At my most self-reliant, I tell myself I should be able to handle my faith, my growth, and my struggles on my own. But the Gospel story, and my story, tell me something better: honest change happens in community. Even as a driven, responsible person, I can’t mature, heal, or hope alone. I need others—real people, messy stories, and the grace of God with skin on—to pull me out of hiding and into honest renewal.

I’ve seen firsthand how the deepest gaps in my heart—longings for significance, love, and security—are best met not in private resolve, but when I dare to be open with others. When I share my ache with a trusted triad or small group, something shifts. What felt impossible or shameful in isolation becomes hope-filled and redeemable as brothers join me, not as fixers, but as fellow pilgrims. Gospel community is where we learn to confess freely, hear truth freshly, exchange old stories together, and walk new steps side by side.

Confess: God, I often try to fix myself by myself. I confess my bent toward isolation, pride, and self-protection—and my fear that I’ll be too much or not enough if others really know me.

Hear: Into my loneliness and self-sufficiency, you speak: “Carry each other’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2). “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17). You designed us to experience your love in relationship—not just in theory, but in the flesh and voices of your people.

Exchange: I give up the script of solo spirituality. I need friendship, counsel, accountability, and celebration. I receive your gift of community as a means of grace—where honest sharing and mutual encouragement become the way you reset my heart.

Walk: Today, instead of withdrawing, I’ll risk vulnerability. I might reach out to a brother, ask for prayer, share an honest gap, or join a CHEW group. Small steps of showing up and telling the truth will open the door for deep change—not because I’m strong, but because God meets us in each other.

When we move from isolation to connection, the Gospel comes alive in everyday practice. Honest growth, resilient faith, and lasting transformation flourish best when rooted in community. Together is not a slogan; it’s God’s strategy for real change.

CHEW On This

If I really believed God’s love is present and healing through Gospel-shaped community, how would that change the way I show up, seek help, or offer encouragement to someone else today.

Community Call

The CHEW system works best when practiced in community. Consider introducing these practices to your team, family, or small group. Share what changes when you create consistent rhythms for moving God’s love from head to heart—not just in private moments, but in the full scope of your leadership and relationships.
