The Daily CHEW™
Chew on God’s Love. Live Transformed. Multiply Hope.

I love my work—that’s not the problem. What weighs on me is the knowledge that I haven’t finished everything on my plate, more is coming, and I’m already not sleeping enough. Hiring more people seems like a massive undertaking right now, though it’s exactly what I’d recommend to a client in the same position. Sunday evenings have become unofficial strategy sessions instead of rest, and I find myself asking, “Did I really grow this week, or just plow my way through it?”

Maybe you know this feeling too. You’re passionate about what you do, but the sheer volume feels relentless. You want to end each week with gratitude and intentionality, but instead you feel like you’re constantly trying to catch up—vaguely aware that God was present but unable to name where, unsure if you’re actually growing or just managing the endless flow of demands. You long for a rhythm that helps you notice God’s faithfulness, celebrate the moments you returned to His love, and step into the new week with clarity rather than that familiar strategy-session mindset.

The deeper ache isn’t about better productivity systems or time management—it’s about wanting to experience the weekly rhythm as a gift of God’s love, not another problem to solve. When we rush past reflection, we miss the chance to see how God has been writing His story of grace into our demanding days, and we start each new week from a place of striving rather than receiving.

Join me. Let’s pause for a Weekly Reflection CHEW—a strategic, 15-20 minute way to process your week, celebrate God’s faithfulness, and plan ahead from a place of love rather than pressure.

Weekly Reflection CHEW in 15-20 Minutes:

This CHEW is designed to help you process an entire week, celebrate moments of return to God’s love, and prepare your heart for what’s ahead with clear-eyed intentionality.

  1. Take three deep breaths—remembering God’s love has been present all week, in every moment, whether you noticed it or not.
  2. Adore: “Father, You have been faithful to me this entire week, even when I was overwhelmed, focused on tasks, or forgot to notice.”
  3. Confess: “As I look back on this week, where am I most grateful? What moments or relationships felt hard? Where did I notice gaps between what I believe about Your love and how I actually lived?” Weekly Processing Questions:
    • What was the highlight of my week? Where did I sense God’s presence most clearly?
    • When did I return to God’s love after drifting? (Celebrate these moments!)
    • What patterns do I notice in my emotions, reactions, or relationships this week?
    • Where did I feel most distant from God’s love, and what was driving that?
  4. Hear: What truth about God’s love do I most need to carry into the coming week? (Choose one Gospel promise that speaks directly to what you just confessed, or browse these targeted categories to find the biblical truth your heart most needs right now.)
    • “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22-23)
    • “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19)
    • “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28)
  5. Exchange: If I really believed God’s love is faithful and gives me fresh strength every morning, how would that change my tendency to measure progress by tasks completed and my habit of turning rest into strategy sessions?
    • I would exchange worry about unfinished work for trust in God’s daily provision.
    • I would exchange shame about this week’s struggles for gratitude for every moment I returned to His love.
    • I would exchange the pressure to solve everything for the peace of beginning again under grace.
  6. Walk: What’s one specific way I’ll live from God’s love in the coming week?
For the week ahead: Choose one pattern you noticed that needs God’s love, and plan one small, concrete action that reflects trust in His faithfulness. This might be a daily practice, a conversation you need to have, or a way to serve others from overflow rather than depletion.
  7. Thanksgiving & Worship:
    • Thank God for specific moments from this past week when His love showed up—in relationships, challenges, unexpected joys, or even in your returns after drifting.
    • End by refocusing your heart on God’s faithfulness that never depends on your productivity.

The Weekly Reflection CHEW works because it creates space to actually see God’s faithfulness over time, not just in individual moments. It helps you celebrate growth in terms of honest return rather than perfect execution, and it prepares your heart to enter each new week anchored in grace rather than driven by endless demands.

Growth isn’t measured by having a perfect week, but by developing the rhythm of honest return. Every week you pause to notice God’s love and plan from that foundation is a week where transformation deepens into your bones.
