Moving God’s Love from Head to Heart for Christian Professionals
Most high‑capacity leaders spend months adjusting routines and trying harder without ever naming what’s actually driving the struggle. When you identify your core SALVES drivers (Security, Acceptance, Love, Value, Enjoyment, Significance), you stop guessing and start addressing the deep longings shaping how you lead and respond under pressure.
Cory Sellers, a financial consultant with UBS, reached out when he felt professionally and spiritually stuck. Through coaching that included identifying his core drivers, he saw meaningful growth in leadership, relationships, and personal life. His family noticed the difference. Cory said, “Ryan has a rare ability to get to the core of what matters and translate insight into practical, sustainable action.” The way we got there fast was naming which SALVES drivers were loudest and how God’s love was already meeting those longings in Christ.
Confess
Lord, I acknowledge that I often try to change behaviors without honestly naming the deep longings driving them.
Hear
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it” (Proverbs 4:23f, NIV). Real, lasting change flows from the inside out when you bring those drivers to Him.
Exchange
If I really believed God’s love is attentive and sufficient to meet the core driver shaping my reactions, how would that change the way I approach one key relationship or decision this week?
Walk (30–90 seconds)
Open the SALVES Assessment, answer the prompts, and glance at your top three drivers. Write one sentence: “The driver shaping my reactions is ________, and the Gospel truth I need is ________.” Pray it back to God and let it guide one next step. If this is the only thing I do from this CHEW today, it is enough.
With you on the journey,
Ryan
If you had to put this into one sentence for today, what would you say God is inviting you to rest in or return to?
