Moving God’s Love From Head to Heart for Christian Professionals
There was a love before the first calendar, before the first promotion, before the first sin. Before any Believer took a breath, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit delighted in one another with a joy that never began and will never end. That love did not start when you believed, and it will not stop when you stumble.
Scripture pulls back the curtain: “Father… you loved me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17:24, ESV) God’s love is not a reaction to anything in us. It is who He is. The triune God has never been lonely, never been needy, never been unsure of His own heart.
A Love That Has Never Run Out
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22–23, ESV) The love that had no beginning has never once run out of mercy. Not on your worst Monday. Not on your most successful Friday. The supply was never tied to the performance.
“His love had no first day and will have no last.”

Clarity: God’s eternal love is not fragile or mood-based; it is older than creation and untouched by performance.
Hear: His mercies are new every morning because His love is older than every morning.
Exchange: If I really believed God’s love is the love that predates me and outlasts me, how would that change what I am feeling and believing about God, myself, and others as I enter this week’s worship?
Walk: Sit quietly for sixty seconds. Repeat before God: “Your love was here before me and will be here after me.” Let your breathing slow under that sentence.
Worship Response
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I worship You as the God whose love has no starting line and no finish line. Your love did not wait for my first success and was not threatened by my deepest failure. Lift my eyes today from the small story of my week to the vast story of Your eternal love, and teach my heart to rest there. In Christ’s name, amen.
With you on the journey,
Ryan
If you had to put this into one sentence for today, what would you say about God’s love that your heart most needs to remember?
