The Daily CHEW™
Moving God’s Love from Head to Heart for Christian Professionals
You stand at the door, calendar full, body already braced for the week before you even touch the handle. Your board, your team, your clients—everyone will see some version of you today, and part of you worries they will only see the driven performer who cannot afford to slip. At the same time, there is a quieter awareness from yesterday’s worship: God is not scanning your performance report this morning; He already rejoices over you in Christ. The tension between those two realities lives in your chest and in your schedule. This CHEW is about walking into Monday as the same person God delights in on Sunday, instead of defaulting to the version Monday demands.
Clarity
Today, my attention drifts toward the version of me that earns approval and control instead of the son or daughter God already rejoices over in Christ. My security leans on how I perform in key meetings instead of resting in the finished work of Jesus.
Hear
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17. Scripture reveals that God moves toward His people as a Warrior who saves and as a Father who sings, not as a supervisor measuring their worth. God’s love secures you before you step into any room, and the Holy Spirit uses this truth to reshape how you carry yourself through the day.
Exchange
If I really believed God’s love is this steady, rejoicing song over me in Christ, how would that change the way I approach the pressure, expectations, and visibility of this Monday today?
Walk
Before your first meeting, sit for 60–90 seconds with this verse open on your screen or written on a notecard. Read it slowly three times, emphasizing a different phrase each time (“mighty one who will save,” “rejoice over you,” “quiet you by his love”), and picture God’s rejoicing love covering you as you walk through your day. If this is the only thing I do from this CHEW today, it is enough.
With you on the journey,
Ryan
If you had to put this into one sentence for today, what would you say God is inviting you to rest in or return to?
